I haven’t posted for many months. An element of season-affected depression plus a final determination to beat my nicotine addiction kept me out of action for the best part of this year. As with everything, it did eventually pass and I have come through the other side.
I have just finished a pair of fingerless gloves in 4ply Luxury by Bendigo Woollen Mills, in Wild Barley. This 100% wool is wonderfully soft and a joy to work with. I used my own pattern which I made up as I went along. You can see that I forgot to change needles after the rib on the left glove, making it narrower than the right. It won’t matter once I have worn it for a while but when I knit the next pair I will be more careful.
I have not been idle these long months even though there were two months when I was unable to concentrate on any kind of craft and for the first time in many years, I passed the time watching TV and DVDs.
