I have finished three beanies for the young men imprisoned in the Pontville Detention Centre.  These 300 young men aged 14 to 18 have committed no crime.  They are young asylum seekers who have no family.  Mandatory detention of asylum seekers is a cruel and unconscionable punishment inflicted on the most vulnerable people in the world.
