My first grandchild is on its way, finally giving me a reason to resurrect my knitting and crochet skills. When my four children were young I had a wide pool of beneficiaries to satisfy my love of the craft. As they got older I ran out of people to create for.

I just finished a cardigan for my grandchild’s second outfit. I used Panda Book 215 “More Beautiful Babies”. I love these ones that have the yoke knitted all-in-one, the first one is the same. That’s because I’m lazy and hate sewing it all together. I am hunting for a pattern that knits the whole thing together. It’s easy to add the two fronts to the back and knit them all on one needle, the sleeves can easily be knitted on the round as well, but its the first part where the sleeves meet at the underarm that I can’t seem to work out. Oh well, it just gives me something to obsess about while I’m knitting.
