This is the 50th block in my ’50 Granny Squares for Fun’ personal challenge. It is the second time I have attempted such a challenge. The first time it was ’52 Granny Squares a Year’ which was following after a loose group of online crocheters. It quickly fell flat but I revisited much later it as a personal challenge and modified it to suite my own style.
The second part of the challenge is to work 10 squares from each book I chose. As this is the 9th square from this book I have at least one more to make to satisfy myself.
Apart from this minor glitch, this was a most enjoyable square to crochet. Not too complicated and not too easy but just right, Goldilocks. It comes from “200 Crochet blocks for blankets, throws and afghans” by Jan Eaton, on page 99.
There is a printing error in Round 5. Before the double asterisk it should say 2 ch. In this way there are (2tr, 2ch, 2tr) in each corner then (2ch, 2tr, 3ch, 2tr, 2ch) along each side.
