Butterfly Granny Square

I began a Granny Square crochet challenge a long time ago, 2016 to be exact but I was diverted off by something or other and didn’t get back to it, UNTIL NOW. I recently updated and all the posts on this blog and I decided it was time to pick up the challenge again, but without the pressure of timing. It was called 52 Granny Squares a Year, so let me re-brand it 50 Granny Squares For Fun.

This square becomes the seventh in the series, I didn’t get very far before did I? I have begun with the book “201 crochet motifs, block, projects & ideas” by Melody Griffiths. I was eyeing it off back in 2016 so it’s a good place to start. I chose “butterfly” on page 68 it measured 19 cm x 21 cm. This is it finished but not yet blocked.

With the re-branding, I also decided to change the colour pallet. This one is less gaudy than the last, more of a sea-side theme.

Who am I? I am different things to different people. I am a poet, a visual artist, a sculptor of found objects, and a writer. I am a bookkeeper, an office manager, an administrator and software support consultant, even a short-order cook and barista. I am a parent, a grandparent, a sibling, a cousin and a friend. I am a traveller, a technophile, a philosopher and a student of all things.
