Granny Square - Libelle Dahlia

My state library is always well stocked with craft books so I use their collections extensively. All the books I have used for this Granny Square project have so far been sourced this way.

During this time of the global pandemic, I browse the library catalogue online and then place items on hold and pick them up from the local library once they are made available. I treat it like click and collect but it means I’m left judging my books by their covers, and the short blurb in the catalogue. This one had a great cover but its emphasis on bags would normally have made me pass it up. I decided to give it a go anyway.

This is the next square from “10 Granny Squares 30 Bags” by Margaret Hubert on page 16 and is only 11 cm x 11 cm.

Who am I? I am different things to different people. I am a poet, a visual artist, a sculptor of found objects, and a writer. I am a bookkeeper, an office manager, an administrator and software support consultant, even a short-order cook and barista. I am a parent, a grandparent, a sibling, a cousin and a friend. I am a traveller, a technophile, a philosopher and a student of all things.
