Framed February Embroidery

By the time I get to the title of these embroideries, I seem to have used up all my inspiration. Last month I did the text in Quaker stitch and was unhappy with the result.

This month I was at a complete loss as to how to stitch it and felt pressured by time to finish so I did square bubble writing then satin stitched. Again I am not happy with the result.

Next month I will need to give more consideration to the title.  However, for the time being, I am happy with the overall result and the way in which it is evolving.

Last month I tried laminating the finished piece but was unhappy with the distortion caused by dimensional stitching.  As I favour dimensional stitches and prefer my work to have texture, I canned that idea. This month I have used an old certificate frame (I have cut the work to A4 size, just because I can) and I am pleased with the result although in the long term I will need either non-reflective glass or no glass at all.

I have decided that when I have completed the twelve months, they can be framed and hung above the door line in my passage.
