After years of having no one left to knit or crochet for, the possibility exists that I may have a grandchild in the near future. When my eldest daughter recently married, she told me they intended to start a family straight away. That was all the excuse I needed to resurrect my craft. Already, I have secretly knitted a complete wardrobe in anticipation of an announcement.

I used Patons Book 5000, “A complete wardrobe of Hand Knits for Baby”, and white 4 ply 100% Acrylic yarn. The cardigan is 8A Lace Yoke Cardigan on page 31, the pants are 6 Plain Pants Turned Up Hem page 26, the beret is 25 Tom page 67, the bootees are 32 Bootees and Mittens – Peter Pan page 76.

Now all I need do is wait for the announcement at which time I can do my very first Granny “Taa-daa!”
